After entertaining audiences for months, Bigg Boss 18 is coming to an end today on January 19, 2025. The season has frequenly made headlines due to Karan and Vivian's tussle, Rajat's unfiltered attitude, Karan and Chum's romantic angle, Avinash's fun personality and more. Fans have been hooked on it since day one and are curiously waiting to know about every significant detail of the show's finale. Consequently, before the event, the prize money for the soon-to-be winner had already made everyone talk.
The stage of Bigg Boss 18 is all set, and the winner for this season will soon be crowned after a long wait of more than three months. According to Mint, the winner will take a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakh. Notably, it's the same amount that the winner of Bigg Boss 17, stand-up comedian, Munawar Faruqui took home last year.
Along with the massive cash prize, the winner of Bigg Boss 18 will be handed a specially designed trophy by host, Salman Khan. The trophy for this new season is made with an intricate all-gold design similar to the interior of the Bigg Boss house. Apart from this, he or she will get special gifts from the show's sponsors.
Bigg Boss began in India on November 3, 2006, and until the present 18th season, the prize money for the show's winner has changed multiple times. The winners for the show's initial seasons, including Rahul Roy, Ashutosh Sharma, Vindu Dara Singh, Shweta Tiwari, and Juhi Parmar, took home a staggering Rs. 1 crore. After that, the prize money decreased, and the lowest amount, Rs. 25 lakh, was taken home by season 8 winner, Gautam Gulati. Later, TV actress, Dipika Kakkar won Rs. 30 lakh in the 12th season. Sidharth Shukla received Rs. 50 lakh as the winner of Bigg Boss 13. Then, Tejasswi Prakash won Rs. 40 lakh in season 15, and MC Stan took home Rs. 31.8 lakh on Bigg Boss 16.
The shooting for Bigg Boss 18's grand finale has started, and it will be interesting to watch who among the finalists, including Rajat Dalal, Vivian Dsena, Karanveer Mehra, and Avinash Mishra, will take home the impressive cash prize. The show will air on Colors TV and stream on JioCinema on January 19 at 9:30 pm. At the same time, Aamir Khan has arrived on the set to grace the event with his son, Junaid Khan, and Sridevi's daughter, Khushi Kapoor, to promote their upcoming Loveyapa, that will make the night more entertaining.
